Katazome-shi papers
are hand-printed using a stencil and resist technique. The soy-based inks are absorbed deeply into
the fibres, producing long lasting vibrant colours. The base paper is a hand-made paper, usually a
kozo-sulphite mix. The size noted is the
size of the printed portion and does not include a small white deckle edge
beyond.
